Expo - 1,235 participants attended the Expo!
Thank you to the more than 1,200 attendees who participated in our
Business Expo last week. Here are some details from the event:

the Chamber's 36th Annual Gala
Please mark your calendars for the Chamber's 36th Annual Gala on June 1st,
2012. This year the gala will be held at the Park Hyatt
Washington D.C. We hope all our members and friends can join us. Ticket

Thinking About
Starting a Restaurant in DC? - Join Think Local First on April 3rd
The GWHCC Foundation is
partnering with Think Local First DC to offer an educational event for
current and future restaurateurs. GWHCC Foundation will give cover the cost
($149 value) for two eligible entrepreneurs that want to attend the whole

Corrales Featured as the Cover Story of this Week's Washington Hispanic
Newspaper
This week's issue of Washington
Hispanic newspaper featured GWHCC member Maria Patricia Corrales, CEO of Capital Construction Enterprises. The article
highlights her success as the newly appointed chair of the National
Hispanic Contractors Association (NHCA). Congratulations to Maria Patricia
and best wishes for the upcoming NHCA Legislative Conference on April
26th.

Launches Hispanic Directory
Last Monday, GWHCC member Vega Pages launched the first edition of its
Páginas Amarillas (Yellow Pages) in Spanish. This directory is a
great resource to find useful information about businesses serving the
local Hispanic market, healthcare organizations, government offices and
educational institutions. Go to www.vegapages.com to access the directory

Español - Business Opportunity Mixer at Salsa Room
Last night, BizLaunch en Español
hosted a successful networking event at Arlington's The Salsa Room.
Attendees enjoyed a free salsa lesson right following the event.

Dulce's Bakery & Empanadas
After receiving technical assistance from the Hispanic Committee of
Virginia, Dulce's Bakery & Empanada Shop is opening doors this upcoming
week. They are hosting a grand opening preview party today, Friday, March
30th, from 6:00-9:00pm. All are welcome to come and enjoy a free empanada
