Alfonso Berthier

Mr. Berthier, Business Development Manager at YaSabe.com and owner of LatinBag.com and Mexican Jalapeño is a new member of the Chamber.

At this year's annual Holiday Party, Mr. Berthier gave out door prizes of search engine optimization packages from YaSabe and Gift Cards from Mexican Jalapeño.

Angela Franco on Telemundo

Angela Franco, GWHCC President & CEO, will be a guest on Telemundo Washington's Línea Directa this Sunday December 19th at 11:00am. Línea Directa is an award-winning Spanish-language show that provides information on important issues such as health, education and social services. Angela will be discussing the recent growth and challenges of Hispanic business in the metropolitan area.

And the GWHCC Public Service Award goes to...

GWHCC Holiday Party - December 14th, 2010 - Walter E. Washington Convention Center

Thank you to all our members and friends who came to our Holiday Party. Special thanks to our keynote speaker Alejandra Castillo, National Deputy Director at MBDA, DC Council members Michael Brown and Harry Thomas as well as Roxana Olivas, soon to be Director of the DC Mayor's Office on Latino Affairs, for honoring us with their presence and showing their support for the Hispanic business community.

Visual Merchandising Seminar - December 8th, 2010

December Wall Street Rally: Will it Last?

December 6, 2010 –Markets in Asia and Europe were mixed Monday, putting a brief December streak of wins on Wall Street in jeopardy. 

Markets closed lower in Hong Kong and Japan, but higher in China. In midday trading in Europe, the DAX 30 in Germany was flat. Markets in Britain and France leaned lower. Click here to continue reading

Be a PNC Banker at Any Level of Experience

As a PNC Business Banker, you become part of a successful, growing organization, one with more than 1,100 branch offices throughout the Northeast and Middle Atlantic and a powerful reputation for business banking solutions. As a Business Banker, you'll deal with companies with annual revenues up to $10 million, prospecting and developing new PNC customer relationships, and retaining and growing our existing relationships. You'll use your all consultative selling skills to understand the liquidity, payments, and cash-flow needs of business owners, and guide them toward PNC solutions. You'll be based in the Frederick, MD, and report to a Business Banking Sales Manager.

This position combines self-managed opportunity with the support, resources, and prestige of a leading name in business banking. Your schedule will be coordinated with that of your branch office, but involve local travel and be subject to prospecting opportunities. On a daily basis, you'll draw upon your business knowledge and formal credit training to open dialogues with business decision makers in your area. Your relationship skills will help in coordinating with other PNC specialists to meet your client needs. You'll be able to use your initiative and comfort with performance based incentives to build your base of relationships. And every working day, you'll be able to draw upon the industry's best in technology, products, training and call-center support to back you up.
