WASHINGTON, DC –The Greater Washington Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (GWHCC) will be celebrating its 40th Annual Gala: Honoring Hispanic Businesses in Construction on June 3rd at the Omni Shoreham in Washington, DC. This year the GWHCC will be recognizing five individuals in the construction sector who have excelled in various categories. The Gala Chairs are Edwin Villegas, President & CEO of Winmar Construction Inc. and Carlos Perdomo, CEO of Keystone Plus Construction Corporation. The event’s keynote speaker is David Velazquez, President & CEO of Pepco Holdings.

About the Gala
The Gala serves as an opportunity for the Chamber to highlight the importance and influence of the Hispanic business community in the DC Metropolitan area and to celebrate the Chamber’s accomplishments with its members, sponsors, partner organizations, corporations, and the community at large. This year the chamber is showcasing Hispanic Businesses in Construction and will feature leaders in this industry. The Gala is an upscale fundraising event that strengthens partnerships between those that collaborate with and are part of the Hispanic business community in the DC Metropolitan area. The Gala is a seated dinner, concludes with a Dessert & Dancing Reception.
Small businesses are the backbone of the U.S. economy and the Latino community is dramatically rising in the number of businesses owned.
