WASHINGTON, DC –The Greater Washington Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (GWHCC) will be celebrating its 40th Annual Gala: Honoring Hispanic Businesses in Construction on June 3rd at the Omni Shoreham in Washington, DC. This year the GWHCC will be recognizing five individuals in the construction sector who have excelled in various categories. The Gala Chairs are Edwin Villegas, President & CEO of Winmar Construction Inc. and Carlos Perdomo, CEO of Keystone Plus Construction Corporation. The event’s keynote speaker is David Velazquez, President & CEO of Pepco Holdings.

American University's Center for Latin American & Latino Studies would like to invite you to the Third Annual Latino Public Affairs Forum, “Latino Entrepreneurship: Access to Capital, Challenges for Growth.”
This year's forum will address the growing importance of Latino entrepreneurs for the U.S. economy, assess their continued challenges in accessing capital, and offer possible solutions. Javier Palomarez, President and CEO of the U.S. Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, will give the keynote address.
Panel speakers include a 2016 MacArthur Award winner and business and thought leaders form the following organizations: Mission Asset Fund, Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve, Fenway Summer Ventures, Aon Risk Solutions, The Latino Economic Development Center, The U.S. Small Business Administration, National Venture Capital Association, Altura Capital, and National Association for Latino Community Asset Builders.
