WASHINGTON, DC, June 6, 2016 –The Greater Washington Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (GWHCC) celebrated its annual Gala: Honoring Hispanic Businesses in Construction on June 3rd at the Omni Shoreham in Washington, DC. This year the GWHCC recognized five individuals in the construction sector who have excelled in various categories and celebrated its 40th anniversary.

WASHINGTON, DC –The Greater Washington Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (GWHCC) will be celebrating its 40th Annual Gala: Honoring Hispanic Businesses in Construction on June 3rd at the Omni Shoreham in Washington, DC. This year the GWHCC will be recognizing five individuals in the construction sector who have excelled in various categories. The Gala Chairs are Edwin Villegas, President & CEO of Winmar Construction Inc. and Carlos Perdomo, CEO of Keystone Plus Construction Corporation. The event’s keynote speaker is David Velazquez, President & CEO of Pepco Holdings.

“This year the Chamber is celebrating its 40th anniversary! This is a significant milestone for us, the GWHCC and its members have come a long way since 1976,” said Angela Franco, President and CEO. “The GWHCC works every day to help businesses move forward and to build sectors that play an essential role within the community.”

This all day seminar will combine the application of record-keeping practices and principles through to the use of accounting software to record and analyze financial transactions.  We will unlock the mysteries of “what to keep, how to keep and where to keep” paper and electronic records so your records are available when you need them.  Record-keeping practices can vary from business to business and can address the unique aspects of the businesses for those attending. QuickBooks Online (QBO) will be used to show how your business data is entered and recorded in the various applications of accounting software in easy to follow steps. This start to finish seminar on record-keeping will show you how the basic business transactions evolve into a financial picture of your business.  

A short case-study will be used in the QBO class to better demonstrate the program.  Participation in the case study is optional; if you wish, you may follow along.  For those who want to participate in the case study, please bring a laptop and subscribe to the free QBO 30-day trial at the beginning of the class.   Current subscribers may not use their subscription to participate in the case study, but must subscribe to the trial version.  The instructors include a Certified Public Accountant and a Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor.       

(This workshop is geared to “for profit” businesses and will not pertain to “not for profit “enterprises.)
