Our Privacy Policy is designed to assist you in understanding how the Chamber collects and uses the personal information you provide to us and to assist you in making informed decisions when using our sites and services.

The Information We Collect
We do not require visitors to supply personally identifiable information when accessing public areas of the site. When you browse the website, you do so anonymously, unless you have submitted an online registration form or RSVPed for an event. We do log your IP address (the Internet address of your computer) to give us an idea of which part of our website you visit and how long you spend there.

We do collect personally identifiable information when you register, access certain restricted site areas, place an order, request other information, or otherwise communicate with us about our offerings. From time to time, we receive personal information from business partners and vendors. We only use such information if it has been collected in accordance with acceptable industry privacy practices consistent with this policy and applicable laws. Personally identifiable information may be merged with other information we already know, such as whether you are a current GWHCC member, or whether you or your organization has had past contact with a GWHCC staff member or representative.

How we use the Information
We collect this information for a variety of reasons, including our effort to inform you of such things as event promotions, membership offers, and to ensure that you have access to information which is likely to be of interest to you. However, we do not sell or rent personally identifiable information to other organizations.

We take measures to protect the security of your personal information and to ensure that your choices for its intended use are honored. We protect your data from loss, misuse, unauthorized access or disclosure, alteration, or destruction. Unfortunately, we cannot, and do not, guarantee that data transmission over the Internet is secure, or that a malicious third party will not be successful at misappropriating your personal information from our servers. As a result, you provide us with your personal information at your own risk.

We strive to utilize a secure environment for credit card transactions. Once a transaction has cleared your credit card information is not stored by us.

This includes, but is not limited to, required disclosures to the government, in response to court orders, by unlawful interception. If, by using a link from our site, you access the website or services of a third party then the protection of your information relating to their services will be governed by the privacy policy of the third party.

Your Choices
You may request at any time that the personally identifiable information you provide on a registration page not be used for direct email marketing purposes by GWHCC.

Additionally, at the bottom of each marketing email GWHCC sends we provide a link to opt-out of the email list. By clicking on this link you will be guided through the automated process that will remove your email address from being included future mailings.
