(Washington, DC) – December 13, 2012 – Events DC announced today the launch of a new website that features more ways to connect and engage with event planners, potential clients and visitors.  Following the introduction of the new Events DC brand in 2011, the redefined EventsDC.com combines all of the organization’s digital assets - conventions and meetings division with the sports and entertainment and special events – into one seamless site. 

On November 16^th ambassadors from Latin America gathered at the Carnegie Library at Mount Vernon Square for the fourth annual Embassy Celebration Dinner Series where Ambassador Roberto Saladin-Selin, Permanent Representative of the Dominican Republic to the OAS, was honored with the GWHCC Public Service Award.

WASHINGTON, DC. Almost universally, Americans say they support and value small businesses in their communities. How could you not? They provide products and services you can’t get elsewhere, customer service is generally more personal, and they contribute enormously to the fabric of our neighborhoods and cities.There are many organizations, national and local, that have done a great job organizing and getting the word out about the outsized contributions that small businesses make to our communities. One of those is the Small Business Saturday Coalition which GWHCC have joined to help spread the word about Small Business Saturday.

LARGO, MD –Channel 9 News Anchor Lesli Foster will join the Prince George’s County Minority Business Development Division (MBDD) and Prince George’s County Public Schools as master of ceremonies at the 2012 Prince George’s County Business Conference and Expo.  This is a collaborative endeavor for small, minority-owned and local businesses.  The Conference is set for Friday, September 28 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. in Upper Marlboro.
