Message from Our President & CEO

Dear GWHCC members and friends,

Since our founding in 1976, the Greater Washington Hispanic Chamber of Commerce had dedicated itself in providing assistance to all small businesses in the Washington metropolitan region. We strongly believe that all businesses should be given the opportunity to reach their full potential. Not only does the Chamber provide avenues for small business to gather further assistance, the Chamber also offers workshops and receptions for businesses to expand their visibility within the community. Given the current workforce and the socio-economic demands, it is critical to support these entrepreneurs in the underserved neighborhoods of D.C.

This is a wonderful time for the growth of Hispanic-owned businesses. The Chamber, its members, and sponsors have had the privilege of making a monumental difference in the lives of many individuals in the Greater Washington region. Many of these persons are participating in the expansion of small business economies, while others have found answers through the Chamber. Several entrepreneurs have received training at our center during this time and implemented their knowledge into developing their business.

We are proud of our staff and of what we have accomplished in the scope of economic development. We have hosted a number of successful mixers and receptions where small businesses take advantage of the opportunities the Chamber provides them with to develop as a stable business. All of this has been made possible through the support we received from our members and sponsors.

Aside from our wonderful staff, no one is more important to us that the small businesses throughout the Greater Washington region. The community we live in continues to strive because they provide employment for much of the underserved community. The Chamber is aware of the needs of small businesses and as a dedicated organization; we continue to review our service offerings to fulfill these needs.
