The Greater Washington Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (GWHCC) hosted its largest event of the year, the 7th Annual Business Expo, with 1,600 attendees, 170 exhibitors, 90 sponsors and partners, and dozens of speakers. This year’s Expo, themed “The Value of Hispanic Businesses: Social, Economic, and Political Power,” expands on the Chamber’s momentous year of growth and partnership-building across the tristate region.

Washington Regional Leaders to Join Hispanic Chamber on Exploratory Mission to Cuba

(WASHINGTON, DC) – Greater Washington Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (GWHCC) President and CEO Angela Franco today announced an historic regional exploratory mission to Cuba, February 20-25, 2016.  The mission will include District of Columbia Mayor Muriel Bowser, Montgomery County, Maryland Executive Ike Leggett, and Secretary of Commerce and Trade for the Commonwealth of Virginia Maurice Jones. Collectively, the delegation represents the strength and diversity of the regional economy, and affirms the region as a global leader in development, innovation, and international trade.

Washington, DC, October 15, 2015 – The Greater Washington Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (GWHCC) and Events DC will host their Seventh Annual Embassy Celebration Dinner Series on Monday, October 19th at the Carnegie Library at Mount Vernon Square. We are honored to have former  Secretary of Energy  and Governor of New Mexico Bill Richardson as the Keynote Speaker and Assistant Secretary of State for Western Hemisphere Affairs,  Roberta Jacobson, both who will be discussing the newly signed Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) and how it will affect Latin America , and U.S.- Cuba relations. Furthermore, this year GWHCC will honor the Embassy of Spain and its Ambassador, Ramon Gil-Caseres Satrustegui with the Public Service Award.
