Event Frequently Asked Questions
Prior to the event:
- How do I sign up for an event? Please check our calendar for all GWHCC, Member and Partner upcoming events. You can register for many of our events through our calendar by selecting the event you want to attend and clicking on the register button.
- Are they open to anyone? Everyone is welcome to our networking events, workshops and more unless otherwise specified by the Chamber (some events are open only to members.)
- What do the different ticketing prices mean? Some events require a ticket purchase. If this is the case, Chamber members must login to their member portal to purchase their tickets at member price. non-members can register regularly by clicking on the registration button and selecting the item they wish to purchase.
- Are early-bird discounts available? Only members have access to early bird discounts if applicable to the event.
- Are there VIP tickets with perks available? Yes, sponsors have VIP tickets with select perks.
- How secure are my credit card details?
- If I book my ticket online, how do I collect my ticket? Once you complete your registration you will receive a confirmation email with all details regarding the event.
- Where can I review my registration information? After your registration has been confirmed you will receive an email with all details regarding your registration and ticket or sponsorship payment. Moreover, the GWHCC staff will contact you with details regarding the event.
- Can I register and buy a ticket at the event? No, all tickets must be purchased by the deadline specified on the event page. No door purchases will be available at any GWHCC event.
- Can I get a refund if I change my mind about attending? No, refunds are not issued for any GWHCC event. Once the ticket is purchased, if you do not wish to attend you can either transfer your ticket to another attendee or change it for another event. Please note that to change your ticket for another event you may need to cover the remaining balance for that ticket.
- If the event is canceled, how do I obtain a refund? Should the event be canceled and not postponed GWHCC will provide you options for similar events that you can transfer your ticket for. If the event is postponed your ticket purchase will be transferred to the new date automatically.
- I can’t pay by credit card; is there an alternate payment method? If our system is not letting you process payment GWHCC can send you an invoice for a direct ACH or check payment.
- I have special accessibility needs/dietary requirements; can you accommodate me? Yes, GWHCC provides vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options. The attendee must notify the GWHCC of these restrictions 2 weeks prior to the event. If the attendee fails to specify this requirement in the allotted time GWHCC is not to be held responsible for this.
- Is there a dress code for the event? Each GWHCC event has a dress code. It is suggested to visit the Signature Events page for specifications.
- Where can I find information about the event agenda and schedule?
- Can my spouses and children attend too? You can purchase tickets for as many adult attendees as you wish. If an event is for GWHCC members only then GWHCC will indicate if guests are allowed or not. NO children are allowed at any GWHCC event. Our events are ADULTS-ONLY unless specified by the GWHCC.

- What parking arrangements are available at the venue? All of our events are held at different locations. GWHCC will send logistical information prior to every event.
- Where do I go to check in? GWHCC events feature signage with check-in instructions and directions. Moreover, GWHCC will send logistical information prior to every event.
- Where can I buy a ticket on-site? On-site tickets are not available for Signature GWHCC events.
- Where is the keynote/my next session/the exhibition hall located? The Business Expo has diverse events throughout the day. GWHCC will send logistical information prior to every event.
- If I lose my ticket, where can I get a replacement? Contact GWHCC at 202-728-0352 or [email protected]. You must present a confirmation email with payment information to access the event.
