GWHCC HISPANIC BUSINESS HALL OF FAME

For some, their names are as recognizable as a leading household brand. For others, their work stands as a testament to their innovative thinking and never-say-never commitment to their business, industry and the community. The GWHCC Hispanic Business Hall of Fame was established in 2019 to recognize the accomplishments of entrepreneurs and business executives throughout the DC Metropolitan region whose contributions, in business and in the community, have helped to advance the small business community and the state’s business climate.

An Executive Gala Committee nominates the individuals and the inductees are selected by the Chamber’s Executive Committee and honored each year at the GWHCC Annual Gala.

WHY ATTEND?

Note on Awards for 2026
In honor of the Chamber’s 50th Anniversary, this year’s Gala will not include the presentation of the traditional Hall of Fame Awards.

This milestone year is dedicated entirely to recognizing the collective legacy of the Greater Washington Hispanic Chamber of Commerce — five decades of entrepreneurship, advocacy, and community impact. Rather than highlighting individual honorees, we will use this moment to commemorate the Chamber’s historic achievements, celebrate the leaders and businesses who built our foundation, and reflect on the progress made since 1976.

The Hall of Fame Awards will return in 2027.

GWHCC SMALL BUSINESS OF THE YEAR

One exceptional small business owner recognized for his or her tireless work and embodiment of the spirit of enterprise. Business must have 250 employees or less.

GWHCC YOUNG HISPANIC ENTREPRENEUR AWARD

A young entrepreneur who has been in business for 0-5 years and who is making a difference and effecting change in a powerful way.

GWHCC LEGACY AWARD

This award will be given to an individual who has history in our region and has made long-term contributions to the community as a leader and advocate.
